Lifestyle-2

New Delhi: If children swallow toothpaste or keep it in their mouths for extended periods, it may adversely impact their brain development and potentially affect their IQ levels. This claim has been made by scientists in a recent study.

According to the research, excessive intake of fluoride present in toothpaste can be harmful to children. The report highlights that young children often fail to spit out toothpaste completely while brushing and may unintentionally swallow it. If this habit becomes regular, it can lead to an increased level of fluoride in the body.
