New Delhi. The Delhi government has outlined a significant action plan to address the massive garbage dumps located in the Bhalswa, Ghazipur, and Okhla areas of the national capital. While discussing the current state of waste management and future objectives, Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that the government is working with full commitment to clear the legacy waste—old garbage accumulated over several years—at the Okhla and Bhalswa landfill sites.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that by the end of this year, the decades-old waste piles at both locations will be completely processed and eliminated, marking a major step toward improving environmental conditions in the city.
