Chandigarh: Ten soldiers were martyred on Thursday after an army vehicle plunged into a deep gorge in the Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir. Among those who lost their lives was 23-year-old soldier Jobanpreet Singh, a resident of Chanouli village in Punjab’s Rupnagar (Ropar) district.
Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of Jobanpreet Singh. He said that the entire state is proud of the supreme sacrifice made by the brave soldier. The Chief Minister conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family and stated that the courage, sense of duty, and sacrifice shown by the martyr in service of the nation will always be remembered.
