Mumbai: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the India A squad for the practice matches scheduled ahead of the T20 World Cup. Young batter Ayush Badoni has been appointed as the captain of the team. Batter Tilak Varma, who has regained full fitness following surgery, has also been included in the squad.
The T20 World Cup will be held from 7 February across India and Sri Lanka. Prior to the tournament, practice matches will be conducted to help teams prepare. The India A side will play two practice matches—one against the United States and the other against Namibia.
