New Delhi: On the occasion of Assam Day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, among several other leaders, extended their greetings to the people of Assam through social media platform X.
Amit Shah said Assam Day recalls the glorious legacy of the Ahom era and reinforces the state’s commitment to preserving its unique cultural identity. He added that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership over the past nine years, Assam has entered a new era of peace and has emerged as a hub of education and development.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju remarked that the entire nation takes pride in the heritage of the Ahom dynasty. He noted that under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Sarma, Assam is witnessing rapid progress and transformative growth.
