Dehradun. Amid ongoing demands for justice in the Ankita Bhandari murder case and the controversy surrounding the alleged involvement of a VIP, the Uttarakhand government has taken a significant step. On Monday, the government formally sent a letter requesting a CBI investigation into this sensitive matter. Meanwhile, a former MLA has also agreed to undergo a narco test.
Confirming the development, Chief Minister’s Secretary Shailesh Bagoli stated that, in respect of Ankita’s parents’ sentiments and their demand—particularly regarding scrutiny of the VIP whose name has repeatedly surfaced in the case—the government has sought a thorough investigation. The letter sent by the state government includes comprehensive details of the murder and urges the central investigating agency to conduct an in-depth probe.
