A complaint has been filed by an activist group named the Legal Rights Observatory.
New Delhi: The Railway Catering Policy implemented in 2010 during the tenure of then Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee has once again come under scrutiny. It is alleged that, at the time, policy-level changes were introduced in IRCTC’s tendering process for the operation of railway food stalls and canteens, granting up to 9.5 percent reservation to minorities, particularly Muslims. In connection with this matter, an activist group known as the Legal Rights Observatory has formally lodged a complaint.
