Kolkata – Sunrisers Hyderabad opener Abhishek Sharma achieved a significant milestone during his innings against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by smashing four sixes. With this feat, Abhishek has now become the second Sunrisers batsman to hit over 100 sixes in the IPL.
David Warner continues to hold the top position on the list. Abhishek now has 101 sixes to his name, while Warner has struck 143 so far. Opening the innings, Abhishek scored 48 runs off 21 balls, including four fours and four sixes. During this innings, he also brought up his 100th six for Hyderabad.
He was eventually dismissed when Varun Chakravarthy caught him off the bowling of Blessing Muzarabani.
For Sunrisers, Australia’s David Warner leads the chart with 143 sixes. Abhishek ranks second with 101, followed by South Africa’s Heinrich Klaasen with 89 sixes. New Zealand’s Kane Williamson occupies the fourth spot with 64 sixes, while Australia’s Travis Head stands fifth with 50 sixes.
