New Delhi: There is concerning news for Indian students aspiring to pursue higher education in Canada. The cost of studying there has risen sharply—not just in terms of tuition fees, but also for accommodation, food, transportation, and other essential expenses.
According to reports, the estimated total cost of 177,000 CAD covers the entire duration of a student’s stay—from arrival in Canada until graduation. Escalating rents, utility bills, internet charges, and transportation costs have pushed overall expenses to record levels.
As per the findings, the average cost of a four-year degree program in Canada has now exceeded 177,000 Canadian dollars, equivalent to roughly ₹1.08 crore in Indian currency. When additional costs such as living expenses, meals, and visa fees are included, the total expenditure can reach nearly ₹1.5 crore.
