Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi revealed that discussions with U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff took place under the constant threat of possible military strikes. He said the negotiations were held in an extremely tense atmosphere, where the risk of conflict remained high throughout the talks. Araghchi emphasized that Iran would not yield to external pressure and would continue to defend its national interests. Alongside formal diplomatic meetings, both sides also exchanged direct messages to maintain communication. Meanwhile, fresh U.S. airstrikes inside Iran and missile launches attributed to Iran further intensified regional tensions, raising concerns about stability and the possibility of wider conflict.
