A Delhi Police Sub-Inspector, Somesh Meena, posted at Madhu Vihar Police Station, died by suicide on Monday after allegedly shooting himself with his government-issued service pistol. Police personnel rushed to the scene after hearing the gunshot and immediately shifted him to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him dead. Senior officers and a forensic team inspected the site, collected evidence, and sent the body for a post-mortem examination. Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Preliminary findings indicate that the officer had reportedly been battling depression, while a family dispute is also being examined.
