Raipur: The issue of pending land surveys and settlement work in Chhattisgarh’s villages was discussed during the state Assembly’s monsoon session. MLA Janak Dhruv sought details from the government regarding the status of unfinished surveys and land settlement. Revenue Minister Tank Ram Verma informed the House that the state has 20,551 revenue villages. Surveys have been completed in 19,805 villages, while 746 remain pending. Of these, survey work is underway in 371 villages, whereas it has yet to begin in 375. The government stated that the remaining surveys will be completed in phases, subject to resource availability and administrative approvals.
