The Delhi Police Crime Branch has arrested the alleged mastermind behind a major interstate counterfeit medicines syndicate. The accused had been absconding for several months, and with this arrest, the total number of individuals apprehended in connection with the case has risen to ten.
According to the investigation, the syndicate allegedly replicated the packaging of well-known pharmaceutical brands with remarkable precision, manufactured counterfeit medicines at a significantly lower cost, and distributed them across multiple states at discounted prices. Police officials stated that these fake medicines posed a serious threat to public health and could have endangered countless lives.
Authorities are now expanding the investigation to uncover the entire network, trace financial transactions, identify additional associates, and take further legal action against everyone involved.
