New Delhi: The Delhi High Court has directed the removal of allegedly defamatory and misleading social media content targeting Member of Parliament Raghav Chadha while hearing a petition filed by him. The court observed that, at first glance, several posts appear capable of harming his reputation and may be defamatory.
According to the petition, AI-generated deepfake videos, morphed images, and false information were circulated online with the intent of damaging his identity and public image. However, the court clarified that the matter does not primarily concern personality rights but relates to allegations of defamation. The case will continue to be heard in subsequent proceedings.
