New Delhi: The advance of the southwest monsoon has temporarily slowed, extending the wait for rainfall across several parts of the country. According to weather experts, the monsoon has remained stationary over the Telangana region for the past few days, affecting its further progression into Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra.
Meteorologists estimate that monsoon activity may reach Chhattisgarh within the next three to four days, while Madhya Pradesh could experience its arrival after about a week. Experts attribute the slowdown to unusual behavior in the upper-atmospheric jet stream, which has reduced the movement of monsoon winds.
However, weather specialists remain optimistic and suggest that rainfall activity is likely to improve by the weekend, bringing relief to regions awaiting the seasonal rains.
