On the Occasion of Gujarati New Year, Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, and Several Other Leaders Extend Greetings

The Gujarati community is celebrating Bestu Varsh (New Year) today. Marking the first day of the Kartik month in the Hindu Vikram Samvat calendar, this festival symbolizes the beginning of a new year. On this auspicious occasion, several prominent leaders, including Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, extended their heartfelt wishes to the people through social media and public messages.

Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, conveyed his greetings on the social media platform X, writing, “Heartfelt wishes to all my brothers and sisters in Gujarat on the occasion of the New Year. May this year bring happiness, prosperity, and renewed enthusiasm into your lives.”

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also extended his warm wishes to the Gujarati community, saying, “May the New Year bring happiness, peace, prosperity, and success in every sphere of life for you and your family.”

Earlier, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla had conveyed his greetings, stating, “Heartfelt wishes on the occasion of Gujarati New Year. May this Nutan Varsh bring joy, prosperity, and abundance to everyone’s life. May the state of Gujarat continue to ascend the steps of progress.”

BJP President and Union Minister J.P. Nadda also shared his message, saying, “I pray to the Almighty that this New Year brings new hopes, immense joy, success, prosperity, and good health. May every step you take lead to success, and may each day be filled with new energy.”
