Mass rape against woman in UP in Maharashtra

Pune: The Ghantanad movement was carried out across the state on Saturday under the leadership of Rupali Chakankar, state president of Nationalist Women’s Congress in Maharashtra on Saturday to protest against the atrocities on women in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh. The movement started at 11 am. In every district and city of the state, there was agitation outside the main post office and women activists handed over a letter written to the postmasters in the name of UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath . Women State President Rupali Chakankar started the agitation outside the City Post Office, Laxmi Road in Pune. He said that a letter was sent to UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday by the Nationalist Women’s Congress to protest against the gang rape and murder of a sister in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh. Rupali Chakankar said that the ‘Chief Minister is only busy changing the names of the cities and has nothing to do with the safety of women’. Younger girls, young women, even Anganwadi women of 50 years are not safe in Uttar Pradesh. Therefore, the country’s reputation is in danger. We are suffering insults, such letters were sent by NCP women activists to the Chief Minister. He further said that “Ramjanmabhoomi, the shrine of the nation, today has the highest crime rate.
