Bakasana Becomes Easier with Regular Practice

Lifestyle

New Delhi: In today’s fast-paced lifestyle, adopting simple yoga practices along with a balanced diet can help maintain overall fitness and well-being. One such effective yoga posture is Bakasana (Crane Pose). With consistent practice, this asana gradually becomes more comfortable and effortless to perform.

Bakasana not only strengthens the body but also plays a significant role in reducing mental stress. The term “Bakasana” is derived from two Sanskrit words—‘Bak’, meaning crane or bird, and ‘Asana’, meaning posture or sitting position. In this pose, the body resembles the stance of a crane, where the entire body is balanced on the wrists.

In this posture, the knees rest on the elbows or the upper arms, while the hips are lifted upward. It is a balance-oriented yoga pose that actively engages multiple parts of the body, enhancing both physical strength and stability.
