Chennai: Emerging batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi has drawn widespread attention after delivering an explosive performance in his very first IPL match. Following his remarkable innings, several prominent cricketing figures have called for his immediate inclusion in the national team. In that debut match, Vaibhav scored a half-century in just 15 balls. Additionally, in the previous season, he had already made a strong impression by scoring a century in just 35 deliveries. Since then, he has continued to set new records.
Despite these achievements, experienced spinner Ravichandran Ashwin believes that Vaibhav is still very young and does not need to be rushed into the national side. According to Ashwin, bringing him in too early could place unnecessary pressure on him. He emphasized that there is no need for haste in selecting Vaibhav, even though demands for his inclusion have come not only from within the country but also from renowned former international cricketers abroad.
