New Delhi: Indian badminton star Lakshya Sen will lead the men’s team at the upcoming Thomas Cup badminton tournament next month. Meanwhile, Olympic medalist PV Sindhu and emerging talent Unnati Hooda will represent the women’s team in the Uber Cup.
The Badminton Association of India has announced the squad for the Thomas Cup, scheduled to be held from April 24 to May 3 in Horsens, Denmark. Alongside Lakshya, the men’s team retains experienced players such as Kidambi Srikanth, HS Prannoy, and the established men’s doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty.
Young player Ayush Shetty has earned his maiden call-up to the squad. The men’s team also includes MR Arjun, Dhruv Kapila, and Kiran George, adding depth to the lineup.
