Mumbai: Veteran spinner R. Ashwin has heaped praise on emerging batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi, stating that if he plays a big innings, Rajasthan Royals are almost certain to secure victory. Vaibhav surprised everyone with his aggressive batting in his debut season last year. Expectations are high that he will perform even better in the new season.
He also delivered several impressive innings in the Under-19 World Cup, which has further boosted his confidence. In this context, Ashwin believes that Vaibhav could prove to be an X-factor for the Royals. If he manages to settle at the crease, it will be extremely difficult for the opposition to contain the Royals’ high scoring.
