Iran Says Respect and Dialogue Are Better Paths to Global Peace Than Threats

International

Tehran: The ongoing military tensions in the Middle East have now reached a perilous stage, where not only missiles but also oil, water, and financial resources are emerging as powerful tools of conflict. Iran has issued a firm warning to the United States, stating that if its power plants or other critical facilities are targeted, it will completely shut down the Strait of Hormuz—one of the world’s most vital oil supply routes.

Iran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, advised the United States that adopting an approach based on respect and dialogue, rather than threats, would be more conducive to maintaining global peace. Meanwhile, the United States does not appear to be stepping back on this front.
