Mumbai: The Madras High Court has recently issued a significant interim order in the ongoing dispute concerning the property of the late actress Sridevi. The court has temporarily stayed the proceedings related to this case in the Chengalpattu Civil Court. Following this directive, no further hearings or legal actions can take place in the Chengalpattu court until further notice.

The High Court has scheduled the final hearing in the matter for March 26. According to available information, Sridevi had purchased approximately 4.77 acres of land in 1988 from the Sambanda Mudaliar family, located on East Coast Road in Chennai. The property is said to have remained in her family’s possession for nearly 37 years.

The dispute resurfaced recently when two individuals, Natarajan and Shivagami, claimed ownership of the land, asserting that they are the children of Chandrasekaran Mudaliar’s second wife and therefore have a rightful stake in the property.
