Kathmandu: A helicopter crash occurred in Nepal during landing, leaving one person injured. According to reports, the helicopter was attempting to land in a field in the Khotang district at the time of the incident. The operating company stated that five passengers were on board.
Rekha Kandel, the Chief District Officer of Khotang, said that the crash took place at approximately 11:51 a.m. The helicopter had departed from Kathmandu and was transporting a body.
Officials confirmed that no fatalities have been reported so far, and further details are awaited. The company stated that one passenger sustained injuries, while the pilot and the remaining passengers are safe. A second helicopter has been dispatched to evacuate the injured individual.
Preliminary investigations suggest that strong winds or dust उठी during landing may have contributed to the accident. According to the company, the pilot has been identified as Sabin Thapa. More information is expected as the situation develops.
