Mumbai: A case of sexual harassment has been registered against Chidambaram, the director of the Malayalam film Manjummel Boys, following a complaint filed by a woman. The allegations against Chidambaram, who is regarded as one of the emerging filmmakers in the industry, have raised several concerns.
The Ernakulam Town South Police Station in Kerala has confirmed that a complaint has been formally registered against the director. According to the police, the complaint was lodged by a woman associated with the film industry. She has alleged that in 2022, Chidambaram sexually misbehaved with her at an apartment in Kochi. The complaint includes accusations of both sexual and mental harassment.
