Mumbai: Indian cricketer Sanju Samson was awarded the Player of the Match for his impressive innings of 89 runs in the semifinal clash against England. After receiving the award, Samson credited the team’s victory to the outstanding bowling performance of Jasprit Bumrah, stating that bowlers of his caliber emerge only once in a generation and that he truly deserved the recognition.

Samson remarked that the result might have been very different if Bumrah had not delivered such disciplined bowling during the death overs. Between the 15th and 19th overs, Bumrah ensured that not a single boundary was conceded in two of his overs. He was well supported by Hardik Pandya, whose efforts further strengthened India’s grip on the match and ultimately helped secure the victory.
