Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Hold Bilateral Talks with Israeli President and Meet Indian Community

Tel Aviv: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently on an official visit to Israel, where he received a ceremonial red-carpet welcome. He was warmly greeted by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, and the two leaders shared an embrace. Prime Minister Modi was accorded a Guard of Honour upon his arrival. Marking his first visit to Israel in nine years, he was given a grand reception at the Israeli Parliament, where a special dinner was also hosted in his honor.

The friendship between India and Israel is reflected across multiple dimensions. The two nations are significant partners in the defense sector. At the same time, while India maintains strong relations with Israel, it also shares diplomatic ties with Israel’s regional adversaries, including Iran and Palestine.

Addressing the Israeli Parliament, Prime Minister Modi strongly condemned the Hamas attack at the Nova Music Festival, stating that incidents like the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai and the events of 7/10 must never be forgotten. Simultaneously, he described the killing of innocent civilians in Gaza as unacceptable and affirmed India’s support for ongoing efforts aimed at restoring peace in Gaza.
