New Delhi: Fast bowler Aaqib Nabi from Jammu & Kashmir has made a strong case for national selection with his outstanding performance in the Ranji Trophy. In the semifinal against Bengal, Aaqib claimed five wickets in the first innings and followed it up with four more in the second innings, delivering a match-defining spell.
So far this domestic season, he has taken a remarkable 55 wickets in nine matches — the highest tally in red-ball cricket across the country. This marks the second consecutive Ranji season in which Aaqib has secured more than 40 wickets, further establishing his consistency and effectiveness as a leading pace bowler.
