Former captain Sunil Gavaskar has suggested that the Indian team should consider making a few changes for its upcoming T20 World Cup clash against Pakistan in Colombo on Sunday.

According to Gavaskar, the team management should replace fast bowler Arshdeep Singh with left-arm wrist spinner Kuldeep Yadav in the playing XI for this crucial encounter. He believes that the conditions in Colombo are generally favorable for spin bowlers, which could make Kuldeep a more effective option in this match.

Gavaskar also pointed out that Arshdeep has not appeared to be in his best rhythm recently, having conceded a significant number of runs in the previous game against Namibia. Given that Sri Lankan pitches traditionally offer assistance to spinners, Gavaskar recommended that India field three spinners in the playing XI to maximize their advantage in these conditions.
