Joint Letter of Intent Signed to Strengthen Defence Industrial Cooperation

New Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh held a bilateral meeting with the Defence Minister of the Hellenic Republic, Nikolaos-Georgios Dendias, in New Delhi on 9 February 2026. During the meeting, both ministers reaffirmed that the India–Greece strategic partnership is founded on shared values of peace, stability, freedom, and mutual respect.

Both countries agreed to enhance the capabilities of their respective indigenous defence industries through cooperation, aligning India’s Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative with Greece’s defence reforms under Agenda 2030. To strengthen defence industrial collaboration between India and Greece, a Joint Letter of Intent was signed, marking the initial step toward the development of a five-year roadmap.
