Ludhiana: Late last night, a sudden fire broke out in the kitchen of a house located in Gali No. 4, Jawahar Nagar Camp. The flames were so intense that they created panic and fear throughout the neighborhood, prompting nearby residents to rush out of their homes. The incident occurred while dinner was being prepared, when gas began leaking from the cylinder pipe.
As the fire spread rapidly, the family attempted to move the children and other members to safety. They tried to contain the flames by placing wet mattresses, but the fire quickly became uncontrollable. With the help of neighbors, children trapped inside the house were safely rescued.
Upon receiving the information, fire tenders reached the spot, but narrow lanes made it difficult for firefighters to access the house. Fire Officer Dinesh Kumar stated that even a slight delay could have led to a cylinder explosion, causing major devastation. The family is safe, but the incident serves as a stark reminder of the importance of gas safety and timely emergency preparedness.
