Rain Likely Amid Cold Conditions in Several States Including Uttar Pradesh; IMD Issues Alert

New Delhi: Amid severe cold conditions in Uttar Pradesh, rainfall is likely in parts of the state as well as in several other regions across India. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an alert on Friday. According to the department, minimum temperatures in northwestern states may drop further this week, intensifying the cold spell. Delhi is also expected to experience colder conditions.

Meanwhile, snowfall has resumed in Jammu and Kashmir, while strong winds have swept through the plains. The IMD stated that minimum temperatures across northwest India could fall by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over the next two days. Subsequently, temperatures are expected to rise by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius over the following four days.
