Power Struggle in Karnataka: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah Seeks Clarity from Party High Command

National

Bengaluru: The ongoing internal power tussle in Karnataka’s politics has once again come to the fore. Siddaramaiah, who has recently created a new record by becoming the longest-serving Chief Minister of the state, now appears to be in a decisive mood regarding his position and future role. According to sources, amid daily administrative confusion and growing uncertainty about the future, the Chief Minister has urged the Congress high command to clearly define his standing.

Siddaramaiah believes that persistent speculation and discussions surrounding the leadership issue are adversely affecting governance, making it imperative to resolve the matter without delay. Reports suggest that he has directly reached out to Rahul Gandhi, seeking a concrete and definitive solution to the situation. His argument is that the recurring ambiguity over the Chief Minister’s post is making it increasingly difficult for him to take administrative decisions with confidence.

The Chief Minister is keen to proceed with a cabinet expansion and also plans to make new appointments to several key boards and corporations. To ensure the smooth execution of these initiatives, he has appealed to the party leadership for clear and unambiguous guidance. According to him, only a decisive signal from the high command can end the prevailing uncertainty and enable the government to function at its full potential.
