Police suspect a key accused may be hiding in India

Toronto: Canadian police have arrested another suspect in connection with the gold theft case. On Monday, officers detained 43-year-old Arslan Chaudhary at Toronto Airport immediately after he arrived on a flight from Dubai. The arrest is part of the “Project 24K” investigation, which relates to the theft of nearly 400 kilograms of gold—valued at over 20 million dollars—from Toronto Airport in April 2023. Police have indicated that a key suspect in the case may be hiding in India.
