Delhi: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday underlined that India cannot rely on old frameworks to deal with emerging challenges of the future, stressing the need for continuous reform and innovation in national security and defence preparedness.
Addressing the concluding session of the Chanakya Defence Dialogue at the Manekshaw Centre, he highlighted India’s journey toward becoming a technologically empowered nation.
“When India advances on the path of strength, security, and development, the entire world benefits in many ways,” Singh remarked. “
A stable India contributes to a stable global economic order. Our economic growth, technological capabilities, and principled foreign policy have made us a voice of balance and responsibility.”
The Defence Minister stated that the government is strengthening border and maritime infrastructure to enhance both security and connectivity. He added that India is modernizing its armed forces through new platforms, technology, and structures while reforming procurement procedures to ensure speed, transparency, and accountability.
