The boy was reportedly playing a mobile game at home when he suddenly lay down on the bed while the Free Fire game continued running on his phone. His sister assumed that he had fallen asleep. However, after a long time without any movement, she became suspicious—only to discover later that her brother had passed away.
Experts describe this as a case of Sudden Gamer Death, a phenomenon where a gamer unexpectedly dies while playing on a mobile device or computer.
According to reports, the boy’s sister had returned home on Wednesday to find him lying on the bed with his phone still on. Thinking he had dozed off while gaming, she left him undisturbed. When there was no movement for an extended period, she called out for help. The boy was rushed to a hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.
Similar incidents have been reported globally, where gamers have died suddenly while playing, without any signs of physical injury or altercation. This information has come to light through a study published in an American medical library journal.
