Why is Independence Day 2025 special?
Independence Day 2025 carries a special meaning for the country, as it will mark 79 years since India gained freedom, completing 78 full years of independence. Each year, the celebration is centered around a specific theme. In 2024, the focus was on “Nation First, Always First,” while in 2025, the theme will be “Developed India.” Also, it has been decided to invite 50 excellent sanitation workers selected from different areas of the capital as special guests in the program. Five names have been selected from each zonal office, which will include three women and two men. Their spouses will also be able to attend the occasion. This time the Independence Day program will start with giving a guard of honor to PM Modi. Then after hoisting the tricolor flag from the Red Fort, the national anthem and 21-gun salute will be given. After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the country, in which he will talk about the achievements of the past year and the goals to come. At what time will Delhi Metro operations commence on August 15?
Special preparations are going on in Delhi for Independence Day. Meanwhile, DMRC has released new timings for the operation of the metro. DMRC has informed us that for the convenience of passengers on Independence Day, metro services will start from 4 am. Trains on all metro lines will run at an interval of every 30 minutes till 6 am. After this, the timings will remain as per the regular schedule.
