A painful incident that came to light from Greater Noida has shocked people. It is being told that on the night of 21 August 2025, 26-year-old Nikki was set on fire by her husband and in-laws in Sirsa village, allegedly due to dowry dispute. The video of Nikki’s beating went viral, in which Nikki’s husband and her mother-in-law were seen beating her. In this video, both were beating her badly. Nikki’s sister, who also happens to be her sister-in-law, captured the entire incident on camera. In the video made by Nikki’s sister, it is clearly visible how she is being beaten. Along with this, Nikki’s 6-year-old son is also a witness to this entire painful incident. Let us tell you that three videos of Nikki murder case went viral. The first clip has scenes of Nikki being beaten by her husband. In the second clip, Nikki is seen coming down the stairs surrounded by flames. Apart from this, another video went viral in which her son is saying that his father set his mother on fire with a lighter. Nikki’s father has stated that the in-laws used to harass the daughter for dowry from the very first day. He told that the mastermind of this conspiracy is Nikki’s mother-in-law and both the accused should be hanged. Both are accused of first throwing inflammable substance on Nikki and then setting her on fire. The treatment of the victim was going on, but she died on 21 August.
Encounter of accused husband and arrest of mother-in-law
Husband Vipin Bhati, who was arrested for burning his wife alive, has been killed in an encounter by the police and mother-in-law Dayawati has been arrested. Police officials stated that when Vipin Bhati was being taken for a medical check-up, he attempted to flee and even tried to grab a police officer’s weapon. During this time, the police shot him, which hit his leg. After being shot, he was admitted to the hospital. The court has sent his husband Vipin Rathi, arrested in the Nikki murder case, to 14 days of judicial custody. According to the information, Nikki’s mother-in-law was going to see her son admitted in the hospital, when the police arrested her on the way. Reacting to this encounter, Nikki’s father said, “Why did the police shoot only in the leg? They should have shot him in the chest. He brutally burnt my daughter and now the police is protecting him.” Let us tell you that Nikki’s father has demanded hanging of all the accused and running a bulldozer on their house. The family members of the deceased Nikki told that Nikki was married to Vipin Bhati in 2016. Since her marriage, she was being harassed for the demand of dowry of Rs 36 lakh, while the demand of Nikki’s in-laws for Scorpio car and motorcycle was also fulfilled. The family also says that Vipin was addicted to alcohol and used to fight at home every day.
The accused husband gave a strange statement
After the encounter, Vipin said in police custody that he does not regret anything. In his statement to the police, he said, ‘Neither did I kill her nor did I do anything, she died on her own. There is so much fighting between husband and wife. He further said that Nikki did not die because of him but by burning herself. While filing a complaint, Nikki’s sister has made serious allegations against mother-in-law Dayawati. It is alleged that mother-in-law Dayawati brought flammable material to Vipin to kill Nikki. She provoked her son to commit Nikki’s murder and even assisted him in the act. On the complaint filed by Nikki’s sister Kanchan, the police have registered a case against husband Vipin Bhati, brother-in-law Rohit Bhati, mother-in-law Dayawati and father-in-law Satveer. Two separate teams have been deployed to search for the remaining accused.
