RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is facing controversy after the Election Commission issued him a notice for allegedly possessing two voter ID cards. The commission has sought a response from him regarding the two EPIC numbers registered in his name. According to reports, two different EPIC numbers are registered in his name—RAB0456228 and RAB2916120. The commission has sought his response on this. In this case, the Election Commission has asked him to submit the card so that further investigation can be done. After investigation, when the administration denied Tejashwi’s claim, Tejashwi said that my EPIC number had been changed. Now the Election Commission will investigate deeply the EPIC number and voter card shown by Tejashwi. However, the Election Commission has clarified that the allegations made by Tejashwi Yadav are baseless and lack any factual basis.
NDA leaders raised questions on Tejashwi
In this matter, BJP and NDA have directly attacked Tejashwi. They say that it is illegal for a person to have two voter IDs. The opposition party believes that a large number of people are voters of Tejashwi’s party. Purnia MP Pappu Yadav has stepped forward in support of Tejashwi Yadav after the Election Commission served him a notice. He said that the Election Commission sends notices for whatever the BJP spokesperson says. He said that the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi keep creating confusion in the country. Pappu Yadav further said that we are coming out on the streets to become the voice of the poor. I will be with Rahul Gandhi at many places. We will not let the voice of the poor be suppressed under any circumstances, nor will we let the poor be deprived of their votes. He said that the Election Commission is not Aladdin’s lamp, so whatever it says will not happen.
