Pyongyang : North Korea has made it clear that it will firmly oppose any attempt to alter its current status and will continue to uphold its position as a responsible nuclear-armed state.
The statement comes after North Korean leader Kim Jong Un visited a weapons research facility last week, where he announced that Pyongyang would pursue a policy of advancing both nuclear and conventional weapons simultaneously.
In 2019, a summit with the United States on nuclear disarmament ended without success. Since then, North Korea has repeatedly declared that it will never relinquish its nuclear arsenal.
