India’s Largest Defence Deal: Air Force Proposes Acquisition of 114 Indigenous Rafale Fighter Jets

New Delhi. The Indian Air Force has put forward a proposal for the procurement of 114 indigenously produced Rafale fighter aircraft. These jets will be manufactured in India by French company Dassault Aviation in collaboration with Indian aerospace firms. More than 60 percent of the components are expected to be sourced domestically. Valued at over ₹2 lakh crore, this would mark the largest defence deal in India’s history.
