Western Railway will start operating all its local train services from 29 January. Western Railway is going to start 1,367 local train services on the slow and fast railway corridor although not all passengers are allowed to travel by local trains yet. Employees working in essential care services, especially disabled and cancer patients, are allowed to travel by local trains. Women travelers and lawyers are allowed to come on time. The decision was taken by Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray on Monday, a day after the meeting to resume local train services for all passengers. Currently, Western Railway operates 1,201 train services a day with approximately nine lakh passengers. The Central Railway currently operates 1,580 local train services. “Western Railway has decided to extend all its suburban services by extending the existing 1201 specials.
