Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off eight trains connecting Kevadia to different regions of the country on January 17, 2021 at 11.00 am via video conferencing. These trains will provide seamless connectivity to the Sta2 Chew of Unity. These trains include Kevadia-Varasani, Dadar-Kevadia, Ahmedabad-Kevadia, Kevadia-Hazrat Nizamuddin, Kevadia-Rewa, Chennai Kevadia and Pratapnagar-Kevadia and Kevadia Pratapnagar Memu trains. Daily services of Dadar-Kevadia Express, Ahmedabad-Kevadia Express and Pratapnagar-Kevadia Memu trains will be available. Whereas Kevadia-Varanasi, Kevadia-Rewa and Chennai-Kevadia Express will run once a week. At the same time, Kevadia-Hazrat Express will be Nizamuddin bi-weekly train.
During the ceremony on 17 January, the Prime Minister will also inaugurate several other railway related projects in Gujarat. Chief Minister of Gujarat Vijay Rupani and Central Railway Minister Piyush Goyal will be present on the occasion. The Prime Minister will inaugurate Dabhoi-Chandod gauge converted broad gauge rail line, Chandod-Kevadia new broad gauge rail line, newly electrified Pratapnagar-Kevadia section and new station buildings of Dabhoi Junction, Chandod and Kevadia. These buildings have been elegantly constructed with permanent features and modern passenger amenities. Kevadia Stay Shan is the first railway station in India to get green building certification. These projects will increase the developmental activities of the surrounding tribal areas, increase connectivity to important religious and ancient pilgrimage sites located on the banks of river Narmada and increase domestic and international tourism and overall socio-economic development of the region and new employment. And will also play an important role in providing business opportunities.
